Protect Our Water Supply: Oppose SR7, Roebuck and Jog Road Extensions

As a West Palm Beach resident, I oppose the extension of State Road 7, Roebuck Road and Jog Road along Grassy Waters Preserve due to the hazard and impact these roads will have on our city’s water supply and quality. I urge our elected leaders to oppose these dangerous road extensions.

Important update.

The county is making plans to put State Road 7, Roebuck Road and Jog Road extensions back on the long-range transportation plan. We need to make sure our collective voice on this issue is heard.

Please sign my petition and join me in opposing these road extensions along Grassy Waters Preserve so we can protect our water supply.  Sign this petition.

This past October, I was at the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency (TPA) meeting and voted against the county’s plan to build the extension of State Road 7, Roebuck Road and Jog Road along Grassy Waters Preserve. I immediately reminded the TPA of our city’s opposition to these road extensions due to the negative impacts they would have on our water supply.

Just this past week, my colleagues on the City Commission Joe Peduzzi and Cory Neering, shared these concerns and fought to have these road extensions removed from the county’s long-range transportation plan.

That’s good news. However, our fight to protect our water is not done as the county has indicated they want to put these roads back on the plan.

West Palm Beach has a formal resolution in opposition to the extension of State Road 7 and I have asked our city for a formal resolution in opposition to the Roebuck Road and Jog Road extensions.

Let’s work together to protect our water supply and oppose these roadway extensions. Please sign my petition.

Thank you.
