Christina’s First Forum: A huge success!
I wanted to send a quick email to share how proud I am of Christina! She did terrific at the Democratic Women’s Club Candidate Forum this afternoon (Saturday). She outlined her record, as well as her vision for the future. The bottom line: Christina is the best choice for West Palm Beach Commissioner in District 5.
In less than two years, Christina has made a significant impact because she cares about people and our city. When she first ran for City Commission, Christina made public safety a top priority. She shared with the audience that she voted to invest millions of dollars to make our community safer through the use of cutting-edge technology, like the new Real-Time Crime Center and Shot Spotter, both of which are already making a difference – violent crime is down 18%, and the homicide rate dropped 27%.
Christina is working with the Mayor, her fellow Commissioners, non-profits, and community activists to develop strategies to help reduce homelessness. She voted to increase funding and expand the city’s partnership with The Lord’s Place to provide homeless individuals the services they need to help them off the streets. One innovative idea that is making a difference is utilizing mental health professionals to help homeless people.
Christina is committed to keeping our neighborhoods safe, reducing homelessness, and protecting our environment and water supply. She knows the best solutions arise through collaboration; by listening to all sides and remaining accessible to the residents she serves.
Christina did a great job at today’s forum and the audience agreed we need to re-elect her. Join me in supporting my wife, City Commissioner Christina Lambert, by voting on Tuesday, March 17th. She will build upon the progress our city has made over the last two years and continue to serve you well.
